3 Days in Paris

Paris is one of those cities we would move to now, like today: that’s what we thought the first time we saw it, more than 10 years ago. It was one of the first trips together and we loved every single moment of those 7 days during our long walks for hours. The second time we looked at it with different eyes, discovering new corners and secret places that made us appreciate it even more; the third time left no doubts: we are hopelessly in love with it.

Here are the things to do & not-to-miss best attractions, a list of places where we recommend to eat, all wrapped into the perfect itinerary to enjoy a lovely weekend into one of the most beautiful cities in the world.

DAY 1

Let’s start from our favourite arrondissement: the 7°. Le Derby Alma is a charming Boutique Hotel with a modern and elegant style, close to the metro station and located in the perfect position to reach the most popular spots by feet. There were Macarons waiting for us in our room with a view on the Eiffel Tower: can you imagine anything better for your romantic weekend?

Reach the Champs-Elysees for a long walk with the Arc de Triomphe on the background, then move to Place De La Concorde and Place Vendome (our fav one); you can spend at least 3 hours in the Louvre Museum and then have a walk into the beautiful Jardin Des Tuileries.

Cross the Seine river through the Pont Alexandre III to reach the opposite side and go to Trocadero, in front of the Eiffel Tower: from the sunset on the tower will burst into sparkling lights for 5 minutes every hour as if billions of fireflies wrapped it to give you 5 minutes of wonder & magic.

Where to eat | Restaurant 20 Eiffel @ 20 Rue de Monttessuy, 75007 Paris

For a delicious dinner with foie gras and stuffed pigeon to taste French cuisine from a street with a view on the sparkling tower. Don’t miss the soufflé for dessert.

DAY 2

Take the metro to Pigalle if you want to catch the Moulin Rouge and make a selfie in front of the Wall of Love, then focus on Montmartre: get lost among the alleys, arts & souvenir shops and artists in the main square. Visit the Basilica of the Sacred Heart, have a seat on the steps to look Paris from the top, choose your favourite secret places of this unique neighbourhood.

Where to eat | Marcel @ 1 Villa Léandre, 75018 Paris

Avocado Toast & Eggs Benedict for a delicious New York minimal style brunch.

In the afternoon go to Latin Quarter, visit the Notre Dame Cathedral and walk along the river Seine at the sunset, stopping by the stalls selling books and Paris postcards. If you have enough time visit the Musee d’Orsay to check Impressionist masterpieces in the atmosphere of an old former train station.

DAY 3

One of the things we love the most is having breakfast in Parisian Boulangerie: start the day with a pain au chocolat and a buttery croissant @ Lapelosa Felice Boulangerie (1 Villa Léandre, 75018 Paris) two steps away form the hotel.

Explore the neighbourhood by visiting the oldest church of Paris, Saint-Germain-des-Prés and walking into the wonderful Jardin du Luxembourg.

Move to the right side of the river Seine to visit Le Marais, the jewish quarter with its kosher cuisine restaurants and its bohemian charm; don’t miss the best falafel in Paris @ L’As du Fallafel.

In the afternoon it’s time to check the Opéra quarter, one of the oldest and the richest in town: while visiting the Opéra Garnier, having shopping at Le Galeries Lafayette and in the shops along Boulevard Haussmann you’ll end your Parisian weekend, already planning the next one to have the chance to fall in love with this city once again.
